Group Accomodations on Disney Property
If anyone is interested in staying as a group at Disney and keeping costs down, there are many options. Many hotels offer multi bedroom suites. Starting with most affordable options we have the All Star Music Family Suites, Art of Animation Family Suites, Fort Wilderness Cabins, and Swan Reserve Signature Suites. For more of a splurge, Disney offers multi bedroom villas at deluxe resorts such as Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary, The Polynesian, and Grand Floridian, and Wilderness Lodge in the Magic Kingdom area, Animal Kingdom Lodge in the Animal Kingdom area, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Riviera and Boardwalk in the Epcot/ Hollywod Studios area, and Saratoga Springs and Old Key West in the Disney Springs area.
Group Accommodations OFF Disney Property
If you aren't looking for Disney theming, and don't care to be close to the parks, there are many options in the area for you. People can go through airbnb/vrbo to find a home that suits the needs of multiple people, and there is Margaritaville Resorts that offer cottages that can sleep up to 16 people, some having a private fenced in pool area for just your group to enjoy (as well as being pet friendly! More on that below). There are hotels located along the edge of Disney Springs (where we will be getting married) such as Doubletree, Drury Plaza, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Holiday Inn Orlando, Renaissance Orlando, and Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista!
Pet Friendly Accommodations
As far as pet friendly accommodations go there are a plethora of options- airbnb/vrbo and Margaritaville Cottages as some off site options. For on site, Disney has pet friendly accommodations at Port Orleans Riverside, Art of Animation Resort, Yacht Club, and the cabins at Fort Wilderness, as well as puppy daycare services at Best Friends Pet Care for overnight or daytime boarding!
**Keep in mind that Disney does do daily room checks whether you are there or not, ever since the Las Vegas shooting. If this will be a problem with your pup I suggest off site or boarding at Best Friends!!**
What if I want to go to Disney?
If you want to go to the Disney parks, I highly suggest it while you're here! Its as magical and fun as you make it. It can be tiring if you want to go, go go, but there is always a multitude of ways to luxuriate while in the parks! For tickets I personally suggest purchasing through Undercover Tourist online if you are staying off site. However if you are staying on Disney property I suggest booking through Disney World itself online to get the best deal and to easily link everything together in your Disney account.
*****If you have never been to the parks, or haven't been in the last year or two, alot has changed. It can be very busy and expensive so it becomes strategic to make the most of things. First things first, make a Disney account and download the MyDisneyExperience App, and if you are interested in Universal make sure you download the Universal Orlando app!
There is ALOT of information to absorb in regards to Lightning Lane (the old fast pass system) so I will list below some helpful Youtube videos that have helped us!
